Heechul Pre-Super Junior

• Been with TVXQ's Hero and U-Know, and future bandmate Kang-in for a small project music group called Four Seasons, with each of the four members representing the four seasons of the year. 
• The prospective group never came through. Both Hero and U-Know were chosen to join another all-male singing group TVXQ, which debuted in December 2003. With two members gone, the idea of Four Seasons dropped. 
• Heechul and Kang-in were then placed in Super Junior along with ten other trainees under the same company. This project group managed through well, and they debuted two years later in November 6, 2005 under the name Super Junior 05, the first generation of Super Junior.

Heechul Official Debut: Super Junior

On November 6, 2005, Kim Heechul officially debuted as part of Super Junior 05 on SBS “Inki Gayo,” performing the group’s first single “TWINS (Knock Out)”. The group was supposed to comprise the first generation of Super Junior. In early 2006, SM Entertainment was beginning to recruit new members for the next Super Junior generation, Super Junior 06, where Heechul would still be an undergraduate member. However, plans changed. The company decided to add a thirteenth member, Kyuhyun, and declared a halt in forming future Super Junior generations. The group dropped the suffix “05″ and became officially credited as Super Junior.

Heechul Car Accident

On August 10, 2006, Heechul was involved in a car accident while heading back to Seoul from Mokpo after attending the funeral of fellow Super Junior member Lee Donghae’s father. The tires malfunctioned while his car attempted to switch lanes. Heechul fractured his left leg in five places, including his femur, knee, and ankle, requiring him to be in surgery for six hours. He also sustained other injuries, including a tear in his tongue which required stitches.

Heechul was advised to stop all activities for a period of twelve weeks. He was released from the hospital on September 13, 2006 but he continued to receive out-patient care. He returned to the hospital to have a second surgery to remove some of the iron rods in his leg on October 10 and briefly returned to work in late October to film the final three episodes of an MBC youth sitcom while still in a cast and on a wheelchair. He made his comeback on November 25 of the same year during the Mnet KM Music Festival (MKMF) Awards but it was only in late December that Heechul officially returned to individual activities such as variety show appearances and hosting appearances.

In 2007, Heechul started to perform regularly despite still having a few rods that the doctors had attached to his leg. In late April and May 2007, he had recovered enough to be able to take part in Super Junior’s strenuous dance routines. The remaining rods in his leg were removed in 2008.

Heechul Super Junior-T

Heechul became part of a Super Junior sub-group, Super Junior-T, which debuted on February 23, 2007 with the Trot “teuroteu” single “Rokuko!!!” (65 로꾸거; [KoKuRo (backwards) spelled backwards]).

Super Junior member, Heechul posted up a selca photo of himself and Han-kyung 5 days prior to the news that the Chinese contingent wanted out of his contract. The timing of the picture couldn’t have been more perfect since it has caught the hawkeyes of the netizens.

Heechul treating Hankyung well, is not only because of their age, ranking (sunbae/hoobae) and also not only because they live in the same dorm. It’s because Hankyung had to leave his home, and has to endure everything (too much) by himself. Being his friend, fellow member, Heechul feels that he should take care of Hankyung even more.

Furthermore, the so called ai mei (love) is actually only because of the requirement in front of the camera. Heechul is a fairly traditional guy. But there’s a very interesting thing that happened. At their dorm when they were filming Hankyung’s China 10 days trip diary, Hankyung asked Heechul whether he would miss him. Heechul stayed silent for a second and replied, ‘Are you sick or something?’ And then gave Hankyung a peck on his cheek.

Yes, we know you are all going to scream fan service, again, for the 500th time. But enough is enough, come the freak out of the closet already Kim Heechul! I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt, but not anymore, it’s pretty damn obvious that he actually enjoys this boy on boy tongue action. So without further ado, we introduce to you Super Junior Heechul’s latest victim: Sungmin.

Sounds like 16-year-old Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber has some competition on Twitter: South Korea’s Kim Heechul.

There’s a bit of an age difference — Heechul is 27 — but both are musical heartthrobs for thousands of teenage girls with rabid social network followings.

Bieber (@justinbieber) may have the edge on Twitter followers — with 5.6 million to Heechul’s 245,000 — but Oct. 11 was the Korean’s day.

It seems as though thousands of fans declared the day “Kim Heechul Day” and used Twitter to spread the message. Tweets trickled in from South Korea and elsewhere until there was an international following, and curiosity, solidifying Heechul’s spot atop the Twitter Trends throughout the day.

Bieber fans often dominate the social network with links and tweets of support. In fact, it’s been said that up to 3 percent of Twitter’s servers are dedicated to Bieber chatter. Bieber himself is an avid user of the site, known to say some ridiculous things on occasion.

The comparison between the two was made repeatedly during Heechul’s reign in the coveted spot atop Twitter Trends. Mashable’s Associate Features Editor Matt Silverman tweeted, “It’s official: Kim Hee Chul is the Korean Justin Bieber.”
